Description : Filigree craft 掐丝工艺 is in fact a traditional craft well-known in Chinese culture. From drafting the design, to shaping & pasting the metal threads, and lastly coloring of the art piece. It's tedious and we know it -- but totally worth it.
Throughout this workshop,
- suitable for all age groups
- beginner friendly
- you will be guided by experienced facilitator(s) in customizing an item uniquely yours
- for bookmark : feel free to select from either bamboo base or transparent acrylic base, and don't forget to spice up your bookmark with a nice tassel
- for aroma diffuser plate : choose from bamboo base or white plaster base, you will get to bring home a 3ml essential oil spray of your preference
- for flip mirror : what else is better than a fine touch of brass?
What will you learn : Learners get to understand the basic behind creating their own filigree handicrafts. They can purchase materials and replicate more at home, or even make it a revenue generating hobby. Filigree could be a great gift for their loved ones as well.
How to prepare : Haus is located at the 1st floor of Sunny Point Complex (above KC Home Furniture, below IBOX Theater). MBPP parking rate : RM0.40 every 30mins, RM0.80/hr. Workshop will be conducted in our workshop room, however learners are welcome to first mingle around our mini library / sofa area / social bonding with other participants.
